Culinary Instructor
Full Time
Compensation: $25-$30/ hr
Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship is a large maritime training organization, in Piney Point, MD. We are looking for a Chef/Culinary Instructor to become part of our team! We teach entry and advanced level culinary classes. All course material is provided to the instructors.
Summary of Position
Chef Instructors teach assigned courses in accordance with the provided curriculum. We value our instructor’s expertise and encourage feedback and enhancements to our courses. As you are the subject matter expert, this position occasionally requires working with a curriculum development team. While our Chef Instructors are not teaching, they participate alongside the production team to make meals for all staff and students on the facility. As a chef instructor at a maritime school, you will be working with a very diverse group of students, with various education levels, job titles, ages, and ethnicities.
Qualifications
- Military experience in a culinary rating; Culinary Specialist etc. -OR- Culinary Degree
- Effective Communication skills
